The Forgotten Console
Hi all GamerGeek back again with another blog this time about the forgotten console the Sega Saturn.
The Saturn was successful in Japan but failed to sell in large numbers in the United States after its surprise May 1995 launch, four months before its scheduled release date. After the debut of the Nintendo 64 in late 1996, the Saturn lost market share in the U.S., where it was discontinued in 1998. Having sold 9.26 million units worldwide, 3 years it was out for? Sure the PS1 discontinued in 2006, the Nintendo 64 was 2002. That is crazy it was really a good console however I was right the Forgotten Console
Some of the games I played the most are below however one game always stood out. Athlete Kings. That game was amazing, you play as a player who competes in ten traditional decathlon events: 100 metres, Long jump, Shot put, High jump, 400 metres, 110 metre hurdles, Discus throw, Pole vault, Javelin throw and 1500 metres. I always had the high score in Javelin it was my favourite one, I did do Javelin when I was in school I got first place a sports day. 🥇 😁 go me.
Virtua Cop 2 was brilliant you needed the gun to play this without it was just bad well not the game just me playing it was 👎 I could never play with the controller. This game was like an Arcade game, reloading shooting away from the screen.
I recently got the emulator for my laptop but I can't get it to work if anyone has any information on it let me know 😁 thanks. If anyone has one for your phone I would be very happy with that.
That is all for now till next time 🤙
