The Best WWE Manager of all time
Hi all GamerGeek back again with another blog about the best manager of all time.......... Paul Bearer.
The name Paul Bearer was given to him by Road Warrior Hawk and a play on the term pallbearer. In 1991 he made his debut with the Taker after Brother Love gave him the managerial role to Taker. His portrayal of a very ghostly manager, he was almost always seen bearing an urn (which was half the time stealing the urn as part of the a storyline), and whose catchphrase was "Ohhh yyes!" Which is kinda the same of Randy Savage. 🤔🤔
In 1996 he turned on Taker and joined forces with Mankind.
Mankind and Taker feuded for more than a year. At April 1997 at In Your House 14: Revenge of the 'Taker, The Undertaker set Bearer's face ablaze using a fireball.
As Bearer would have bandages on his face because of this he was able to lose the ghostly make-up, his hair was now strawberry blonde. He did look a different person, with the same "Oh Yesssss" catchphrase.
In October 1997 at Badd Blood: In Your House, Paul Bearer introduced Taker's brother Kane, costing The Undertaker a Hell in a Cell match against Shawn Michaels. This led to a bitter rivalry between The Undertaker and Kane and Bearer. The feud lasted into summer of 1998, when Kane seemingly abandoned Bearer to side with The Undertaker, beginning a face turn. At the end of 1998 Taker and Bearer teamed up, turning heel again. He helped Taker form the Ministry of Darkness.
During this time Taker was feuding with Stone Cold and Vince McMahon. This led to the Ministry Wedding, in which Taker kidnapped Stephaine and was forcing her to engage in a Ministry Wedding, tying her to a cross 😲😲 while Paul Bearer performed the ceremony.
After the Ministry changed to the Corporate Ministry, Taker became injured so he took an hiatus, Paul Bearer ended up taking an hiatus with him.
He returned in 2000 with Kane my god what a moment that was.

You can thank me later, just the moment the lights go out, Paul Bearer walks out the crowd erupts, fires hits and Kane music plays. It was an amazing moment.
He worked backstage of the WWE making small appearances now and again with Taker, getting kidnapped by the Dubley Boys, in 2005 his contact was terminated for one month, then given a new contact allowing it to market his personality and requiring he attend autograph sessions, make promotional appearances and occasionally work television and house shows.
In 2010 he made his first appearance in 6 years while Taker was feuding with Kane he was inside the casket. It was amazing he always get a pop when he returns.
In Hell in a Cell 2010 he turned in Taker again 😲 helping Kane secure his title. He sided with Kane while he started a feud with Edge. He was kidnapped by Edge, during this time he would use a fake Paul to mess with Kane's head. Kane ended up thinking a dummy version of Paul Bearer was on top of two ladders, Kane pushed them over not knowing it was actually Paul Bearer. He was written out of the storyline after this. In 2012 he briefly returned to help Kane with his feud with Randy Orton.
Sadly in 2013 Paul Bearer passed away from a heart attack. On Raw Taker was paying tribute to Paul Bearer only to be interrupted by CM Punk who was Taker's opponent for WrestleMania 29. It went as far as stealing the urn, attacking Kane with it, Paul Heyman dressing up as Paul Bearer. Taker thankfully won the match and dedicating it to Paul Bearer. He was inducted in to the 2014 Hall of Fame by Kane. His sons accpected this award and did the "Oh Yesssss" catchphrase during their speech.
This is a lovely moment when Taker and Kane paid tribute to him. ♥️♥️
That is all for now till next time 🤙
